Amanda MacDonald (she/her) is a versatile artist who is passionate about the performing arts. Amanda performs regularly as a lead and backup singer in a variety of pop, R&B, jazz, funk, classic rock, soul and folk ensembles.

Amanda loves to collaborate with other musicians and songwriters and has experience writing, recording and producing original music. Her composing and arranging skills have been featured in recent captivating and buzz-worthy social media content such as THE MUFFIN SONG and IT'S CHRISTMAS TIME.

Always evolving as a songwriter, Amanda’s current work, with danceable grooves, interesting arrangements and unique, catchy melodies, reflects real-life experiences and emotions that have connected with ever-growing audiences. Moreover, Amanda’s music captures her versatility and blends a variety of her favourite genres including jazz, pop, R&B, funk, and folk.  

Amanda earned a Bachelor of Music with Honours specializing in jazz voice and received numerous awards during her post-secondary education at Humber College.  

Over the past 11 years, Amanda has been mentoring, coaching and teaching singing, dancing and ukulele to students of all ages, levels, and musical interests. Whether it is working with individuals or in a group setting, Amanda has experience leading online and in-person music lessons, classes and school workshops - all in a variety of music genres! If that wasn't enough, Amanda also has an exceptional aptitude for working with students with special needs. 

In addition, Amanda grew up as a competitive Irish dancer while travelling the world to compete and perform. More recently, Amanda has been asked to feature her singing and dancing skills alongside such notable artists as The Barra MacNeils and Natalie MacMaster.

Amanda also enjoys exploring new creative outlets and has recently developed a passion for embroidery and card making. Check out the greeting card store page to see her most recent designs!
